I Don't Need a Wedding Planner Because...

Updated: Aug 28, 2019

A thousand lines will complete this sentence; some of which are reasonable, but others are just excuses we make to help us feel better. The best one yet is "I am a planner". Yes you are and everyone should be a planner in their own lives but unless you have been married more than once, leave that title to a professional (me) lol.

  • I will save a lot of money

True! but will you really? Just a reminder time is also money and spending time having peace of mind and leaving a professional deal with the headaches is worth it. Imagine paying so much for a photographer, hair and makeup artist but have to reconsider hiring a planner! Rethink the decision because no one will keep you as organized and up to date as they would (a good one that is). They will know the loose ends to tie, the right vendors to contact and also help you manage your budget.

  • My Family will help me

Family is the best support system for anything and I am a living testimony to that but they can't do everything. The worst experience is emotions going through the roof because a 'bridezilla' emerges. Your family should be there to support you but you can't blame them when they haven't called that person or made that spa appointments because guess what they are humans NOT superhuman like your planner #periodt. Go try on your dress with your family, talk to them about your plans, let them plan your shower but overloading them and stressing them before your wedding day because "they are family" can be detrimental to your family's relationships. Pay a professional to handle the stress because you get what you pay and they are built for this! You don't believe me? Try it.

  • I Have Trust Issues

As you should because 'its a hard knock life out here' and the 'hustle' is real so its not easy to give away money for free and have nothing done! Painful thing ever. But then do your research, read reviews, talk to people and vendors before you make decisions. The fact that someone is popular does not mean they do a great job! In that same light there are people who have made a name for themselves because of their hardworking and they ain't cheap. This goes right back to doing your research so that your money is well spent and you have a wonderful time at your wedding
